Dr. Peter Sugerman is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and the Associate Medical Director for Inpatient Services. He serves as a staff psychiatrist for both the Adult Inpatient Unit and the Sachem House adult day treatment program. Before coming to Natchaug in March of 1994, Dr. Sugerman held numerous positions at the Institute of the Living in Hartford, Connecticut and served as Medical Director of Mental Health Services at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, New Jersey. He has also run a small outpatient private practice since 1999. Dr. Sugerman received a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics from Amherst college and did his medical training at the University of Connecticut Medical School. His psychiatry residency was completed at The Institute of the Living in Hartford, Conn.
